History

SOFBI began 16 years ago when Spirit of Faith Christian Center was in its infancy and was formerly known as
the Ministers Internship Program (MIP).  This program was by invitation only and offered to the church leaders in ministry of helps at that time.

Over the years the program has grown to a three-year program, each year having its own emphasis of training.  In 2003, MIP became the Spirit of Faith Bible Institute, (SOFBI).  SOFBI now has two campuses, Temple Hills, MD. and Ellicott City, MD. and a Distant Learning Program to provide ministry
training to the masses, to assist men and women in fulfilling God’s call and plan for their lives.
