What are the Semester Dates for the Distance Learning Program?

o Semester 1: August – December
o Semester 2: January – May

What is the cost of Tuition?

o Cost of Tuition for Academic Year 2010-2011 is $525.00/Semester; $1050.00/Per Year
Are there any Fees?

o Yes. Application Fee: $50

Who can attend the Distance Learning Program?

o Non-SOFCC partners AND
o Persons who reside 50 miles or more from the Temple Hills, Maryland location or Persons who reside 50 miles or more from the Ellicott City, Maryland location.
o Exceptions are reviewed on a case by case basis. Contact Distance.Learning@sofbi.org for an exception form.

Do you offer payment plans?

o Yes. The annual tuition of $1,050 can be divided into six monthly payments of $175.00, due on the first of each month.
o Students who choose to participate in the payment plan, will make their first tuition installment in August, 2011.

Who are the Instructors?

o Instructors are trained and qualified ministers of Spirit of Faith Christian Center (SOFCC)

Is the Distance Learning Program Accredited?

o Not at this time. We are aggressively pursuing accreditation through The Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE)

How long is the Program?

o The Complete Program is three years in length
o Year 1: Foundational Courses
o Year 2: Spiritual Development
o Year 3: Preparation for Ministry

Is there a summer program?

o Yes. The summer program is reserved for prior semester enrolled students only. There is a $75 per course fee, with a $25 registration fee.
o Maximum 2 courses per student
o Occasionally there will be a summer course offered to the public

What will I receive upon Completing this Program?

o A Diploma of Ministerial Studies

What kind of Computer/Software do I need to access the (DLP)?

What is the structure of the (DLP)?

o On-Demand Lessons
o Textbook Reading
o A significant Amount of Writing
o Discussion Boards
o Virtual Meetings

How much time will be required for the (DLP)?

o A minimum of ten (10) hours a week is Recommended
o Anytime/Anywhere/Any Day/Night of the week
o Once a month on a Tuesday, from 7-9pm, you will be in the Virtual classroom with your Instructor

o Applications are accepted year round

How Will I get my Books?

o All Distance Learning students are required to have books prior to class. Books can be purchased from local or online bookstores.
