The purpose of SOFBI is to provide men and women with a post-secondary Christian education. The program operates through precept and example within the context of the Christian Faith. Emphasis is placed on developing students in faith, excellence, and integrity of character; resulting in ministers with pure motives and hearts to serve in their God-ordained assignments with excellence, with integrity, and with a spirit of faith.

SOFBI is founded on principles based upon the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, which constitute the infallible and authoritative Word of God and confirm that God, the creator of the heavens, the earth, and all things therein, by His Holy Spirit, is the author of the Bible. The Bible’s main purpose is to return fallen man to a state of glory, through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, in whom we have redemption through His blood.

SOFBI is firmly established in the principle that Jesus Christ is the one and only person who ever embodied perfection. Therefore, as Jesus seeks to direct, motivate, and encourage all to follow in His footsteps, conform to His image, and walk by faith; we are compelled by His spirit to share the uncompromising Word of God through teaching.
