SOFBI is a Christian institution of higher learning, designed to equip students for the work of the ministry. SOFBI seeks to provide students with a thorough and comprehensive Christian higher education and the opportunity to develop a strong commitment and devotion to the Lord. SOFBI’s long-term strategic plans include satisfying the conditions of eligibility to pursue accreditation status.

SOFBI is an affiliate of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), 5575 S. Semoran Blvd., Suite 26, Orlando, FL 32822-1781. (www.abhe.org) SOFBI’s affiliate status is not to be confused with accreditation. The Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) is recognized as a national accrediting agency by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), the successor of the Council on Postsecondary Education (COPA) and subsequently the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation (CORPA).

Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC)

SOFBI has filed for an exempt status with the Maryland Higher Education Commission.
